(Pudge) Durst, 62, was dead on arrival Oct. 19, 1981 at Frostburg Community Hospital, Md. He was born in Jennings, a son of Mrs. Ethel (Platter) Durst, Grantsville RD 2, Md., and the late Harry Durst. He was a superintendent in construction work, was a member of Jennings United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II, and belonged to Grantsville Post 213, American Legion. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Roma M. (Morrison) Durst; four sons, Dale Swauger, and Garland Durst Jr., Randall Durst and Timothy Durst, all of Grantsville; four daughters, Mrs. Darlene House, Mrs. Shirley Yommer, Mrs. Brenda Yommer and Miss Patricia Durst, all of Grantsville; two brothers, Clark and Carl Durst, both of Grantsville; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Beitzel, Mrs. Emogene Resh, Mrs. Beulah Glotfelty and Mrs. Wanda Yommer, all of Grantsville, and 20 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, where services were conducted by the Rev. K. Almone and the Rev. George Plants. Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
