DURST George Gideon Durst, 72, Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Grantsville, MD, died Friday, Dec. 22, 1989. Born March 14, 1917, in Grantsville, MD, he was the son of the late Delbert and Manie (Broadwater) Durst. He was a retired employee of Harbison-Walker Refractories with 28 years' service. He was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are his widow, Velora Durst; two sons, Glen R Durst. Pasadena; and David G. Durst, Hyattsville, MD; three daughters, Mrs. Dona G. Flannigan and Mrs. Iris D. Khalaf, both of Silver Spring, MD; and Mrs. Lisa Uphole, Accident, MD; two brothers, Glenn G. Durst, Frostburg, MD; and Paul E. Durst, Grantsville, MD; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Durst and Mrs. Vera Merrill, both of Grantsville, MD; Mrs. Dailey Rice, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Ruby Jenkins, Randallstown; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
