Born Sept. 30, 1910 in Somerset. Son of Milton John and Cora Elizabeth (Miller) Durst. Preceded in death by parents, brothers William, George, Lee A. and Abram Durst and sisters Louise Spangler and Alice Houpt. Brother of Mrs. Bessie Beam of Somerset; Franklin E. Durst of Ravenna, Ohio; Clark O. Durst of Friedens and Henry A. Durst of Haverhill, Mass. Member of First Christian Church. A 1928 graduate of Somerset High School. Was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran and a retired Air Force Supply SGT. Also member of VFW Post 7295 Berlin; American Legion Post 181 Somerset, and FOE Aerie 1801. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Pastor Daniel F. Nicksich officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
