Born Nov. 23, 1920, in Somerset, son of the late Milton John and Cora Elizabeth (Miller) Durst. Also preceded in death by his first wife, the former Ruth D. Judy; sister, Alice Houpt; brothers, William and George Durst, and an infant daughter. Survived by his second wife, the former Anna Jane Smith, and these sons: Edward L. Durst and Larry D. Durst, both of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, and Richard E. Durst of Cleveland, Ohio. Brother of John M. Durst, Somerset RD 3; Mrs. Bessie Beam, Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Louise Spangler, Cleveland, Ohio; Abram Durst, Somerset; Clark Durst, Friedens: Franklin Durst, Ravenna, Ohio, and Henry Durst, Haverhill, Mass. Member of the First Christian Church of Somerset. Retired auto worker for Ford Motor Co. Veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. William J. Sleasman, officiating.
