  DURST
  
  Ralph J. Durst, 79, of Meyersdale RD 3, died Sept. 25, 1997, Meyersdale
  Manor.  Born Oct. 4, 1917 in Accident, Md., a son of the late Jefferson T.
  and Lettie (Platter) Durst.  Also preceded in death by an infant son, Larry;
  and brother Ernest.  Survived by his wife, the former Elma L. Butler, and two
  children: James W. Durst, married to the former Shelley Brown, Meyersdale,
  and Vickie, married to Kenneth Burns Ebensburgh.  Four grandchildren: Shawna
  and Amy Durst, Joseph and Katie Burns.  A brother of Edison Durst, Accident,
  Md.  Member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, VFW Post 3504,
  American Legion Post 112, and L.O.O.M. No. 76. Veteran U.S. Army, WWII.
  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Price Funeral Home
  Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday with Pastor
  John Nalley officiating.  Interment Grantsville Cemetery. Memorials may take
  the form of contributions to the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren or the
  Meyersdale Public Library.
