SIDNEY DURST

  Funeral services were held, December 27, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee 
Broadwater of Jennings, for Mrs. Sidney Durst, 81, widow of Louis Durst, who was 
found dead in bed Christmas morning.  Rev. Charles Sisk, pastor of the 
Grantsville Methodist Church, officiated.  Interment was made at New Germany.
  Mrs. Durst was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lydia (Custer) Durst.  She 
was a member of the Methodist Church and spent most of her life in Jennings.
  Surviving are two sons, Raymond Durst of Swanton and Reed Durst, Cumberland; a 
step-son, Truman Durst, of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Chandler and Mrs. 
Frank Ross of Akron, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Jonas Orendorf, of 
Bridgeville, Del.; and Mrs. Arthur Broadwater of New Germany; 16 grandchildren 
and 17 great-grandchildren.
