Huff. Rev. R. G. Henson, pastor of the Methodist Church officiated. Members of the Jennings and Grantsville choirs furnished the music. The selections were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "Does Jesus Care" and "We'll Never Grow Old." Rev. Henson delivered a comforting sermon on the text, "Be ye also ready, for ye know not when the son of man cometh." The pallbearers were members of Grantsville camp, W.O.W., W. H. Miller, Stewart Stahl, C. O. Bender, Dr. T. O. Broadwater, Henry Patton and L. B. Schaefer. Interment in the Grantsville cemetery. Simon Durst was the son of the late Henry and Barbara Hare Durst. He was born at Jennings 54 years ago and spent most of his life in that community. His occupation was lumbering. He has been in ill health for several years. However, he recently was employed by Ira L. Huff of Grantsville. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Huff Durst, and one daughter, (Daisy) Mrs. Neal Morris of Aliquippa, and two grandchildren; also one sister, Mrs. Lee Broadwater, and two brothers, Harry and Fred Durst, of Jennings. Mr. Durst was an active layman of the Methodist Church and was a charter member of Grantsville Camp No. 41, W.O.W. He was highly respected in the community and had many friends who paid him tribute at the funeral. Meyersdale Republican, February 8, 1945
