  DURST
  
  William E. Durst, 69, of Somerset RD 8, died June 9, 1988, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 9, 1919, in Somerset, son of the late Milton
  and Cora (Miller) Durst.  Preceded in death by a sister, Alice Houpt. 
  Survived by his wife the former Bertha (Tinkey) Hamer Durst; these
  step-children: Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) Cuteri of Pittsburgh; Ida Lee Hamer
  and  Mrs. Lowell (Mary Jane) McVay, both of Colorado Springs, Colo; the
  Rev. David Hamer of Newton Falls, Ohio; Stephen Hamer of Denver, Colo.; and
  10 step-grandchildren.  Brother of: John, Somerset RD; Mrs. Henry (Bessie)
  Beam of Lavansville; Lee of Ohio; Abram of Somerset RD 8; George of
  Somerset; Clark of Friedens;  Frank of Ohio; Henry of Haverford, Mass.; and
  Mrs. Louise Houpt of Cleveland, Ohio.  Veteran of World War II, U.S. Army. 
  Former member of First Christian Church, Somerset; formerly employed by
  Uptegraph and DeVilbiss companies.  Friends received from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  Sunday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service will be
  conducted at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Kenneth McCune officiating. 
  Interment, Nedrow-Ferguson Cemetery.
