Duvall, 84, White Star residence, Jennerstown, died Oct. 24, 1989, at Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 26, 1905 in Fulton County, son of Orville Roy and Retta E. (Strait) Duvall. Preceded in death by parents. First wife, the former Fay Leota Bottonfield, died Aug. 8, 1946; second wife, the former Edith L. "Doll" Laidig, died May 13, 1986. Also preceded in death by four brothers. Survived by these children: Terry Duval, married to the former Diana Beahr, Hollsopple RD 1; Gloria Scheller, Nevada; Janice Glazier, Mass.; Leota Batzelle, Calif.; James Duvall, Fort Littleton, and Mack Clevenger, McConnellsburg; 22 grandchildren, including Michael Clevenger, Lisa Metz, Alisa and Cassandra Clevenger, Tina Wallace, Eric and Terry Sheffield, and Jill and Jennifer Duvall. Brother of Norman, Mabel Barkman, Retha Spade, Mildred Rohm, and Glendora Ines. Retired from Coal Junction Coal Company. Youngest elected sheriff in Fulton County history. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Rev. Max DeArmey.
