Dwire, 87, of Somerset, formerly of Rockwood passed on May 28, 2002 at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1914 in Rockwood. Son of the late Lloyd and Etta "Jennie" (Knopsnyder) Dwire. Preceded in death by parents, wife Eva (DeHaven) Dwire in 1955 and brothers James and Willard Dwire. Survived by his wife Martha (King) Madeira Dwire, daughter Marjorie, married to Floyd Miller of Somerset, son Barry, married to Brenda Dwire of Derry and stepson Earl, married to Ann Madeira of New Centerville. Also grandchildren Keith and Craig Miller, Eric, Brock and Barry Dwire Jr., Brianna Tomack, Christen Vogel and Beth Galvin and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Ruth Lamp and Verna Mostoller. He was a retired Chessie System Railroader. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Rockwood, the Rockwood Volunteer Fire Dept., and a charter member of the Pine Turn Rod and Gun Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Pastor Ardelle Mason officiating.
