    ETTA J. DWIRE
  
    Etta Jennie Dwire, 91, Rockwood, died Dec. 24, 1978, in the Somerset
  Community Hospital.  She was born Sept. 1, 1887, in Black Township, and
  was a daughter of Cyrus and Pheobe (Phillippi) Knopsnyder.
    She is survived by three sons: Edward, Rockwood; James, Hyndman; and
  Willard, Uwchland; two daughters:  Mrs. Ruth Lamp, Rockwood, and Mrs. Verna
  Mostoller, Somerset RD 5; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren
  and seven great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, Feb. 16, 1974; also by
  seven brothers and three sisters.  She was a lifelong member of the 
  United Methodist Church, Rockwood, and a charter member of the Rockwood
  Firemen's Ladies Auxiliary.
    Friends were received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood,
  where services were conducted with the Rev. Dewayne Johnson officiating.
  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
