Dwire, 62, of Hyndman, died March 14, 1980 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born Dec. 8, 1917 in Somerset and was a son of the late Lloyd Dwire and Etta (Knopsnyder) Dwire. He was a conductor for the Chessie System, a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, the Hyndman United Methodist Church, the Hyndman Volunteer Fire Department, a 40-year member of the Connellsville Eagles and a social member of the Hyndman Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He is survived by his widow, Ella (Neighbors) Dwire; three sons, Joseph Dwire, Orange Park, Fla.; James Richard Dwire, Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Richard Dwire Warren, Friedens; four daughters, Mrs. Alice Faye Matheson, Sheffield Lake, Ohio; Mrs. Lois Klink, Schellsburg; Mrs. Jean Hast, Cresaptown, Md.; Mrs. Jane Shaulis, Somerset; two brothers, Edward Dwire, Lickwood; Willard Dwire, Eagle; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Lamp, Rockwood; Mrs. Berna Mostoller, Friedens; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Zeigler Funeral Home. Services were conducted in the funeral home by the Rev. Dale R. Shunk. Interment will be in Hyndman Cemetery. The Republic, March 20, 1980 [D1150]
