SILAS DWIRE

  Silas Dwire, 76, died at 8:15 o'clock last Friday evening at his home in Upper 
Turkeyfoot Twp.  Preceding him in death was his wife, Mrs. Dora Dwire, who 
passed away in January of this year.
  Mr. Dwire is survived by six sons and five daughters: Lloyd, Rockwood; Clyde, 
Upper Turkeyfoot Twp.; Harry, Kingwood; Mrs. Ida Marker, Kingwood; Mrs. Olive 
Turney, Upper Turkeyfoot Twp.; Frank, Upper Turkeyfoot Twp.; Mrs. Leona 
Garletts, Millford Twp.; Ray, Jack and Mrs. Estelle Putman, all of Upper 
Turkeyfoot Twp., and Mrs. Esther Patton, Warren, O.  Also surviving are 31 
grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
  Mr. Dwire was the last member of the family of Chauncey and Elizabeth Dwire.  
He was a member of the IOOF Lodge.
  Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock (DST) Monday afternoon at the 
Mt. Zion United Brethren Church, Casselman, with Rev. L. G. Mulhollen 
officiating, assisted by Rev. Gaynell Ardell.  Burial took place in the church 
cemetery in charge of Mills & Mickey, Rockwood morticians.
