Dwire, 65, West Main Street, Somerset, died March 12, 1985, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born May 26, 1919, in Rockwood, a son of the late Lloyd and Jennie (Knopsnyder) Dwire. Preceded in death by one son, Terry, and brother, James. Survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Margaret Merrill; one son, Williard Jr., Centerville, Miss.; a foster granddaughter, Mrs. Peggy Rosman, Athens, Greece; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. A.C. (Ruth) Lamp, Somerset; Edward, Rockwood; and Mrs. Kenneth (Verna) Mostoller, Somerset RD 5. Member of Lodge No. 322 F and AM, West Chester. He was a member of the Reading Consistory and Rajah Shrine Temple of Reading. Member of the First United Methodist Church, Somerset, and a retired Pioneer employee of Texas Eastern Transmission Corp., Houston, Tex. He was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Army Engineers. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
