Dye, 89, Honey Brook, Pa., formerly of Somerset, died May 8, 1997 in TelHai Nursing home, Honey Brook. Born Oct 4, 1907, in Imperial, Pa., daughter of Alvin and Mary (Wilson) Kearns. Preceded in death by her husband, G. Floyd Dye, December 1980; and two brothers. Graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She received her master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in reading instruction. Retired in 1985 after 49 years as an elementary reading teacher in the Somerset school system. Member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Past matron of McDonald Chapter 119, Order of the Eastern Star. Past President of Delta Kappa Gamma Society. Former member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Survived by two daughters; Vivian Good, Malvern, Pa., and Elizabeth Hughes, Alameda, Calif.; and four grandchildren. No visitation. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Somerset County Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Steeter officiating. Arrangements in the charge of the Robert H.
