Eash, 87, of Laurel View Village, Davidsville, died Feb. 12, 2002 at Laurel View Village. Born Oct. 14, 1914 in Conemaugh Township Somerset County. Son of Jonathan and Anna (Blough) Eash. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Clarence, Harry, Leroy, Elmer, Paul and an infant brother, and sister Linnie Lehman. Survived by wife of 61 years Beatrice I. (Blough) and these children, Kathleen married to Leon Thomas, Davidsville, Carolyn married to Lee Pickler, Brunswich, Ohio, and Karen, Bedford. Also survived by grandchildren Debra Lamberson, Joann Thomas, Marcia Martin, Jennifer Helmuth, and Leif Helmuth and great-grandchildren Kelsey and MacKenzie Thomas and Ben Conalley, and Zachary Martin. Brother of Beulah Hershberger of Johnstown and Thelma Thomas of Twinsburg, Ohio. Member of Kaufman Mennonite Church where he served in many capacities. He also served in Allegheny Conference, MDS, and other community organizations. Life member of NEA. Retired school teacher of 41 years for Jackson Township School District. Graduate of Hooversville High School and Goshen College. Family receiving friends from 2-4 and 6-9pm Thursday at the George E Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. Remains will be in state from 10am until time of service at 11 am. Friday at Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville. The Revs. Wesley Yoder and Nelson Roth officiating.
