Born March 17, 1917, in Somerset County, son of Curtis and Bessie (Pile) Eash. Preceded in death by father; wife, Kathleen F. Lynn Eash, who died May 20, 1989. Survived by mother of Davidsville and these children: Nancy, married to Thomas Congersky, Edgewood, Md.; and John, married to the former Sheila Varner, of Duncansville; grandchildren, Debra and Michael Congersy and Kristy Eash. Brother of Ruth, wife of Walter Shank, Davidsville. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Johnstown. He was a corporal in the Army Air Force, World War II. He worked for Sheesley Construction Co., J.B. Gorman Construction and Turjan Construction Co. He was a member of the American Legion Post 945, Wormleysburg, and a member of the Conemaugh Township Area Historical Society. Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Tuesday at George E Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville. Services will be held at 11 am Wednesday at St. David's Lutheran Church, Davidsville, where remains will lie in state from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, the Rev. Gregory Pile officiating.
