  JOHN EBBECKA
  
    John Thompson Ebbecka, 42, of Meyersdale, died Oct. 23, 1982, at home.
    He was born June 23, 1940, in Meyersdale, son of the late Thompson G.
  Ebbecka and Grace (Weimer) Ebbecka.  
    He is survived by his mother.  He was a member of Amity United Church of
  Christ.  He was a teacher for the Butler Area Schools since 1962; he
  graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He was nominated for art
  teacher of the year in 1980 and he received a special award from the state
  of Pennsylvania in 1980 for the Outstanding Teacher in Art.  He was a member
  of the Pennsylvania Art Educational Teachers Association and of the Butler
  Musical Theater Guild.
    Friends were received in the Leckemby Funeral Home, where services were
  held.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
