Eckels of Jennerstown, formerly of Parker, Pa., died March 3, 1973, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born in Parker, Pa., a son of the late Wyatt Fulton and Arminta (Rupert) Eckels. Preceded in death by a brother, Raymond, and an infant sister, Mable. Survived by his widow, the former Helen Weitzel, a brother, John H. of Parker, a sister, Mrs. Grace F. Say of Burin, Pa.; a nephew, James R. Eckels of Washington, DC; and a niece, Judith Ann Fross of Parker. Was a retired employee in the accounting department of B & O Railroad, owner of Eckels Antiques in Jennerstown; member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset; Cresent Lodge 576, F and AM, Pittsburgh; Ancient Accepted Scottish Shrine, Pittsburgh; Boswell Lions Club, Somerset County Historical Society, Jennerstown Volunteer Fire Department, Jennerstown Borough Council and charter member of IOOF Lodge, Parker.
