(Hensel) Eckley, 90, Lake Ridge, Va., formerly of Friedens, died June 14, 2004, at Lake Ridge Fellowship House. Born Nov. 30, 1913, in Friedens, she was the daughter of Harry and Marian (Pile) Hensel. Preceded in death by her parents, husband John Ralph Eckley and a brother Ray Hensel. She is survived by a son Ralph Hensel Eckley and his wife Alice, Woodbridge, Va.; three grandsons Todd and his wife Johanna, Dumfries, Va.; Scott and his wife Robyn, Dale City, Va.; Brian and Fiancee Darla Hartman, Denver, Colo.; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a nephew Albert Hensel, Texas. She was a member of the Friedens Lutheran Church, Stoystown Lioness Club, and the Friedens Mother Club, a former charter member and treasurer of Good Shepherd Lutheran church, and a former member of the Occoquan & Quantico Order of Eastern Star. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown where a service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Edward V. DeVore officiating. Interment Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.
