  GRACE ECKMAN
  
    Grace Eckman, 84, Rockwood RD 3, died Dec. 10, 1987, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  She was born Jan. 2, 1903, in Somerset County, a
  daughter of William and Nellie (Welsh) Swearman.  Survived by husband,
  Frank; one son, William F., LaPlata, Md.; two daughters: Mrs. Paul (Jean)
  Bennett, Woodstock, NY.; Mrs. Wendell (Nancy) Heil, Somerset; and a sister,
  Mrs, Mabel Morris, Whittier, Calif.; also eight grandchildren and two
  great-grandchildren.  Her death terminates a marriage union of 62 years.
  Preceded in death by parents, one brother, one sister and a daughter,
  Carol.  She was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Rockwood
  schools for many years.  A member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, New
  Centerville.  Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Saturday and until 12:30 pm. Sunday, when the
  remains will be removed to the Messiah Lutheran Church, where service is at
  2 pm. with her pastor, the Rev. Gregory Pile officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery, Meyersdale.  There will be no viewing in the church.  Arrangements
  are under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with
  Francis Brady supervising.
