  John Stanley Edgar, 75, of National Pike, Grantsville, Md., died Sunday,
  April 18, 2004, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
  Born November 19, 1928, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late William
  Donald and Dora Elizabeth (Kahl) Edgar.
  He was preceded in death by two brothers: Elwood and Olen and two sisters:
  Iretha Brenneman and Margaret Yoder.
  Mr. Edgar was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Accident, Md. He was a
  retired mechanic for Diehl's Ford Sales and also Yoder Meat Packers.
  Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Helen M. (Garlitz) Edgar; one son,
  Joseph Edgar and wife, Roxanne, Salisbury; three daughters: Linda Lottig
  and husband Lenny, Meyersdale; Rose Yoder and husband Duane, Grantsville;
  Carol Warnar and husband Robert, Mesa, Ariz.; four brothers: George Edgar,
  Salisbury; Otis Edgar, Baltimore, Md.; Allen Edgar, Grantsville; Dennis
  Edgar, Elizabethtown, Ky.; two sisters: Edith Yoder and Dorothy Lowery,
  both of Meyersdale; five grandchildren: Holly and Johnny DiFebo, Brandon
  and Ryan Edgar and Alex Yoder and four stepgrandchildren: Liz Jackson, Rob
  Warnar, Jennifer and Shawn Yoder.
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on
  Tuesday.  Services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran
  Church with the Rev. Dr. Wilfred Karsten officiating.  Friends were able to
  call at the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment was in
  Grantsville Cemetery.
  Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or
  Northern Garrett County Rescue Squad.
