Mrs. Edmiston was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Burgess) Fike and was a resident of Somerset County for many years, part of the time living in Ursina, where the family made many friends. For the past eleven years she made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Younkin, in Connellsville. She was in her 81st year. Four of her children preceded her in death. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Younkin and Mrs. D. C. Mullen of Connellsville; Scott Edmiston of Gray, Charles of Acosta, Mrs. Elmer Hall of Revere and Glenn of Berlin. Thirty grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three sisters also survive. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Younkin, Rev. F. A. Meyers, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, officiating. Burial was in the Ursina Cemetery by the side of her husband, who passed away in 1927. Meyersdale Republican, November 7, 1940
