Born April 20, 1928, in Meyersdale. Son of the late Oscar Melvin and Alma Elizabeth (George) Edmiston. Also preceded in death by wife, the former Dolores Conahan. Survived by two sons: Philip E. Edmiston and Douglas G. Edmiston, both of Acosta; grandson Jason E. Edmiston; sister, Mrs. John (Ailene) Ellis, Clearwater, Fla. Mechanic for Woy Brothers, retiring in 1992 with 30 years service. Currently a mechanic for Laurel Hill State Park. Air Force veteran of Korean Conflict. 1947 graduate of Somerset High School. Member of FOE Arie 1802, VFW Post 554 and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Friends received from 7-9 pm. Thrusday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10am Saturday, with Douglas Stone officiating.
