  FRANKLIN EDMUNDS
  
    Dr. Franklin A. Edmunds, 82, Meyersdale, died May 3, 1988 in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born Nov. 19, 1905 in Connellsville, son of the late
  Dr. George H. and Mary K. (Maley) Edmunds.  Also preceded in death by two
  brothers, G. Homer and John C. Edmunds.  Survived by wife of 56 years, the
  former Myrtle Long; and these children, Franklin A. Edmunds Jr.,
  Meyersdale, and Mrs. Janice, wife of Dr. Jerry Smith, Shepherdstown, WVa,;
  two grandchildren, Joanne and Joseph Smith; five nieces and one nephew.  A
  brother of Mrs. Doroty Cowan, Fort Meyers, Fla.  Member of First United
  Methodist Church, Meyerdale and Meyersdale Lodge 554 F & AM. Former charter
  member and past president, Meyersdale Lions Club.  Former member of
  Meyersdale Hospitall Dental Staff.  Graduate, University of Pittsburgh,
  School of Dentistry.  Practiced dentistry in Meyersdale for 47 years before
  retiring in 1976.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at
  Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 am
  Thursday. Pastor James L. Fish Jr. officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Methodist
  Church Memorial Fund.
