Edwards, died at her home, Saturday noon, following an illness of about a year. She was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Margaret Durst Meyers of Jennings. She was married to Mr. Edwards in 1911 and has resided in Grantsville since 1921. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. James C. (Dorothy) Frame of Kingwood, W.Va., and one granddaughter, Linda Frame; also by five step-children - Mrs. Jesse J. Ashby, Oakland; William G. Edwards, Dundalk, Md.; Mrs. C. E. Ashby, George D. Edwards and Harry E. Edwards, Grantsville. One sister, Mrs. Ellen Lohr, and one brother, Henry C. Meyers, Oakland, also survive. Mrs. Edwards was a life-long active member of the Lutheran Church and Missionary Society. She was also a member of the Methodist W. S. C. S. She was very patient during her illness and kind to her many friends she had in Grantsville. Funeral services were held at the family home on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. S. D. Sigler, pastor of the Lutheran Church and Rev. O. W. Arrington, pastor of the Methodist Church officiated. Rev. S. D. Sigler paid high tribute to the life of Mrs. Edwards. Rev. Arrington read the 23rd Psalm and offered a prayer. Mesdames H. L. Yommer, Harry Hoover and A. J. Yoder sang "Land of the Unsetting Sun" and "Lead Kindly Light," accompanied by Mrs. Harold Miller. The pallbearers were Daniel Klotz, Milton and Stewart Rodamer, Henry F. Durst, Harvey Gortner and C. O. Bender. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. James Frame, Kingwood, W.Va.; William Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Edwards, Mrs. Clayton Edwards, Baltimore; Mrs. Catherine Hoover, Jennings; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Morric, Cumberland; Mrs. Henry Myers, Mrs. E. H. Dilly, Mrs. Ernest Jenkins, Oakland; Mrs. B. Shock, Mrs. Burton Ashby, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ashby and Mrs. Glenn Ashby, Crellin; Oscar Simpson and son, Deer Park, and Mrs. Forrest Simpson, Nipek, Md. Interment was in the Hostetler Cemetery, near Sand Patch, Pa. Meyersdale Republican, December 23, 1943
