  GOMER EDWARDS
  
    Gomer E. Edwards, 78, Confluence, died June 25 at his residence. 
    He was born January 23, 1888, in Johnstown, a son of the late Joseph R.
  and Hanna (Davis) Edwards,
    Edwards is survived by his wife, the former Nellie Higgins; a son Joseph,
  of Confluence; a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Critchfield, Clairton; four
  grandchildren; and a brother, J.L. Edwards, Buffalo, NY.
    He was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister and three brothers.
    Service was held June 28 at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, with Rev.
  James Bramer officiating.  Interment was in Ursina Cemetery.
