Edwards, 84, died Apirl 29, 1984 at the Goodwill Nursing Home, Grantsville, Maryland. Born in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Donald Simpson and Mary (Warnick) Simpson. She was a homemaker and co-owner of the former American Resturant, later renamed the Edwards Resturant. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, in which she was active many years as a Sunday School teacher and was past president of the United Methodist Women. She was a charter member of the Grantsville Fireman's Auxiliary; member of the Grantsville Homemakers Club, and active for many years as chairman of the Heart Association, serving the Northern Garrett County area. Surviving are her husband, Harry C. Edwards; a son, Cecil Edwards, McHenry, Maryland; a daughter, Mrs. Rita Hiller, Catonsville; a brother, Forrest Simpson, Nikep; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted by Pastor K. Almond. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery. The Republic, May 3, 1984 [E0076]
