  J. EARL EGOLF
  
    J. Earl Egolf, 85, Schellsburg, RD 1, died Aug. 14, 1979, at Bedford
  County Memorial Hospital after extended illness.  Born Aug. 14, 1893, in
  Juniata Township, he was a son of the late John H. and Mary (Fritz) Egolf.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, former Florence M. Hillegass, who
  died May 28, 1979, and four brothers and two sisters.  He is survived by
  these children: Geraldine, wife of William Barley, Bedford RD 6; Janet,
  wife of Warren Miller, Ebensburg; Pauline, wife of Luther Berkey, New
  Paris; and twins Carl, married to former Geraldine Taylor, and Carol, wife
  of Arthur Way, both of Schellsburg RD; also eight grandchildren and a great
  grandson. 
    He was a brother of Charles W., Manns Choice RD; William F., Bedford;
  Mrs. Nellie Rock, Columbus, Ohio; and Mrs. Alice Hillegass, Berlin RD 3. 
    He was a retired farmer, army veteran of WWI, life member of Bedford Post
  113, American Legion; Schellsburg Post 4440, VFW; and United Church of
  Schellsburg. 
    Friends were received at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where
  services were held with the Revs. Charles Shetler and Donald Evans
  officiating.  Interment, Schellsburg Cemetery.
