EGOLF Vernon Henry Egolf, aged 27, died Monday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the Polyclinic Hospital in Harrisburg, where he underwent an emergency operation on Sunday for appendicitis. He was taken suddenly ill on Saturday. Vernon H. Egolf was a student at the Highway Motor Patrol Training School at Harrisburg, having been accepted to membership in the school on October 20. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel W. Egolf, of Somerset. His mother and a brother-in-law, Harry Lines, went to Harrisburg Monday afternoon and made arrangements to have the body removed to the Egolf home. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Harry Lines, and a daughter, Beverly Egolf. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Egolf home, in charge of Rev. Dr. Earl C. Weaver, pastor of the Somerset United Brethren Church. Interment in the Husband Cemetery, in charge of Charles R. Hauger, Somerset mortician. Meyersdale Republican, December 1, 1932
