Mrs. Eicher was born in Meyersdale, the daughter of Milton and Ruth (Padgett) Lewis, both deceased, pioneer residents of Meyersdale, who came here from Wheeling, W.Va., in the latter 1870's. Shortly following her marriage to Harry W. Eicher, the family removed to Somerset, where they had since resided. Mr. Eicher died about three years ago. These children survive: Clara, with whom her mother made her home, on North Edgewood Avenue, Somerset; David Eicher, of Glassport; Mrs. S. C. Walters, of Akron, Ohio; H. W. Eicher, Jr., H. Kent Eicher and James W. Eicher, all of Somerset. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. H. L. VonMoose of Akron, Ohio, and two brothers, David A. Lewis, Wilmerding, and Harry K. Lewis, East McKeesport. A brother, Edward Lewis, died some years ago. Mrs. Eicher was an aunt of Eugene Lewis, who with his family, resides on North Street, this city. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. B. F. Bungard, D.D., pastor of the Somerset United Brethren Church, followed by interment in Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
