  Leonard Lewis Eichorn, 60, 29 Grant St., Salisbury, died March 13, 2006, at
  Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born Feb. 13, 1945, in Meyersdale, he is
  the son of Virginia (Leith) Eichorn, Grantsville, Md., and the late Alvin
  Eichorn. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Keith and
  Robert Eichorn. Surviving is companion, Mary Etta Hay, Salisbury; son, david W.
  B. Eichorn, Goldhill, N.C.; daughter, Sherry L. Shumaker, Springs; brother
  Dwight Eichorn, Shepherdstown, W.Va.; sisters, Donna Winters, Frostburg, Md.;
  Janet Blocher, Grantsville, Md.; and three granddaughters. Mr. Eichorn was a
  truck driver for Orner and Sons Trucking for 28 years. Friends will be received
  7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St.,
  Grantsville, Md., where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev.
  david E. Fetter officiating. Interment will be held in the Bittinger Cemetery.
