Eisentrout, 93, Ravenna, Ohio, passed away peacefully Jan. 31, 2008, at her home. Born Jan. 14, 1915, in Salem, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Mentzer and Nellie (Boone) McCarter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Eisentrout; a daughter, Patricia Liber, in 2001; and a brother, Ralph Mentzer. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Leighton, and husband, David, Ravenna; a sister, Emma Liber, Texas; four grandchildren, Kathleen, Dana, Michael and Stephen Kunze; 10 great-grandchildren, Amanda and Michelle Winebrenner, Korey, Jon, Elizabeth, Alyse, Marie, Chris, Kelly and Sarah Kunze; and beloved by numerous nieces and nephews. She has lived in Ravenna for the past year, coming from Salisbury. She was a member for 40 years of the St. John's United Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, the Lions Club and volunteered for Meyersdale Hospital Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Shorts Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, 141 N. Meridian St., Ravenna, OH 44266. Viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, with services following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Wanda Lester officiating. Interment will be held in Salisbury Cemetery. The family would like to thank her beloved friends at Robinson Hospices.
