    Carrie Edna Elkins, 90, formerly of Berlin, died Oct. 14, 1999, in
  Richmond, Va.  Born July 6, 1909 in Jackson County, WVa.  Preceded in death
  by husband: Omar Elkins; daughter: Barbara (Elkins) Jones; parents: Joseph
  Mundy, a Baptist minister, and Verdie (Siders) Mundy; sisters: Cassie
  Mynhier and Lottie Hall; and brother; James Mundy.  Survived by
  granddaughters: Ellen Jones and Diane Poegl, and great-granddaughter;
  Jennifer Poegl, all of Richmond, Va.  Graduated from WV Synodicil
  Presbyterian Boarding School in Madison, WVa.  Member of Trinity United
  Church of Christ, Berlin; Berlin Lady Rebekah Lodge, Somerset Chapter, OES,
  and Berlin Firemen's Auxiliary.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9
  pm Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 1pm
  Monday, Rev. Owen Preston.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  Instead of
  flowers, contributions may be given to the Berlin Fireman's Auxiliary,
  Berlin, Pa. 15530
