  EUGENE ELLIOTT
  
    Eugene S. "Duke" Elliott, 69, of Washington, Ind., died Aug. 23, 2002 at
  Eastgate Manor Nursing Home, Washington.  Born March 17, 1933 in Confluence,
  the son of the late George and Myrtle (Smith) Elliott.  In addition to his
  parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Betty Yvonne, four sisters
  and six brothers.  Survived by wife Faye Jean (Growall) Elliott; daughter
  Bonnie Jones of Washington, Ind.; sons Gary and Michael of Youngstown,
  Ohio; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister Mary Growall of
  Confluence.  A veteran of the US Navy and retired from Youngstown Steel Door
  following 40 years employment.  Friends will be received from 1-3pm, the hour
  of service, Tuesday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, Rev. Ronald
  Schaeffer officiating.  Interment in Addison Cemetery.
