Elliott, 47, of Frostburg, Md. was dead on arrival at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md., May 11, 1979. A native of Lonaconing, Md., Mr. Elliott was a son of the late John and Bertha (Hadley) Elliott. Mr. Elliott was principal of Westernport Elementary School, a member of the Frostburg United Methodist Church, George's Creek Valley Lodge No. 161, AF & AM, the Maryland Principals Associatin, Trout Unlimited and National Rifle Association. He was also one of the founders of the Allegany County Board of Education's Outdoor School and an Army veteran. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lois (Mackay) Elliott; a son, John R. Elliott, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Skidmore, Frostburg and Donna Sue Elliott, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Charlotta Perrie, Brandywine, Md., and Mrs. Edna Wheeler, Grantsville, Md. and a grandson. Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home where services were conducted by Rev. Clarence A. Kaylor. Interment, Frostburg Memorial Park. Republic, May 17, 1979 [E0150]
