ROBERT B. ELLIS

  Robert Bassett Ellis, aged 63, a former resident of Meyersdale, was found dead 
in his room in Pittsburgh on Sunday, Feb. 17.  He was apparently a victim of 
carbon monoxide, and was found slumped to the floor before a blazing gas burner.
  Born in Noxdale, Jefferson County, Pa., on Sept. 14, 1882, he was a son of the 
late Rev. David R. and Martha (Keck) Ellis.
  Surviving are five children, David R., Somerset; Mrs. Helen Brick, Berlin; 
Mrs. Josephine Cramer, Miss Joan Ellis and Jack, all of Detroit, Mich., with 
their mother, Mrs. R. B. Ellis.
  The deceased was a brother of John K. Ellis, Pittsburgh; Morgan L., Boston; 
William O., concord, Mass., and Mrs. W. D. Baker, Meyersdale.
  Funeral services were held in SS. Philip and James Church, Wednesday, at 8:45 
a.m.  Interment was made in the church cemetery, under the direction of W. C. 
Price and Son.
