  JOHN C. ELY
  
  John C. Ely, 74, of Grantsville RD 2, Maryland, died at Meyersdale
  Community Hospital, September 24, 1984.
  Born at Wayne, Mich., he was a son of the late Jesse Ely and Edith
  (Henry) Ely.
  He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired sheetmetal worker for
  Dixie Manufacturing, Baltimore, Maryland.
  His only survivor is his widow, the former Eva Durst.
  Services were conducted Sept. 26 at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville,
  by the Rev. David Rockwood.  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
