"Arlo" Emerick, 75, of Murrysville died Nov. 20, 1996, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 27, 1921 in Buffalo Mills, Bedford County, son of the late Walter and Florence (Clites) Emerick. He was a retired maintenance foreman for U.S. Steel, National Tube Works, with 42 years service. Member of First United Methodist Church of Murrysville, East McKeesport Lodge 765, F&AM: Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh; American Legion Post 0331 of Trafford; National Rifle Association and Sportsmen and Landowners Association of Murrysville. Army veteran of World War II. Survived by his wife, Betty Harris Emerick; six children: Darlene McCune of Altoona, Dale of North Huntingdon, Gene of Greensburg, Karen Harvey of Hooversville, Joanne Cipriani of Delmont and David of Blawnox; also 10 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the John T. Hart Funeral Home, Murrysville. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church of Murrysville, with Rev. William Mock and Rev. David Fetterman officiating. Interment, Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
