    Betty A. Emerick, 71, Rockwood, formerly of Berlin, died Jan. 28, 2008, at Good
  Samaritan Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 26, 1936, in Hyndman, a daughter of William F.
  and Myrtle V. (Walters) Twigg. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Clarence Emerick
  Jr.; and infant son; and infant granddaughter, Marissa; brothers, Raymond, Donald, Robert
  and Leroy Twigg; and sister, Mary Day and Margaret Kiser. Survived by these children,
  Brenda Emerick, Meyersdale; Raymond Josep (Linda),  Rockwood; Donna (Ed) Roddy, Somerset;
  Cindy Friedline  (Rich Miller), Mount Pleasant; Michael (Cindy) Florida; Judy (David)
  Bailey, Berlin; Patrick Wayne (Tanya),  Somerset; Ronnie (Sue), Berlin; Bonnie
  Sleasman,  Alabama; and Douglas (Brenda Burley), Berlin; 31  grandchildren and 17
  great-grandchildren. Sister of  Carl Twigg, Florida; Elsie Merkel, Fairhope;  Dorothy
  (Frank) Smith, Cumberland; and Catherine Weyant,  New Paris; and special friends Evelyn
  Harmon, Somerset, and Mildred French, Florida. She enjoyed karaoke, watching TV,
  listening to the radio, dancing, eating out, bingo, yodeling and having family gathers.
  Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral
  Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Sherman Berkey
  officiating. Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be
  given to the charity of your choice.
