  Betty Jean (Roberts) Emerick, 65, of 966 Boswell Heights, died Dec. 3,
  1993, at home.  Born Jan. 28, 1928, in Somerset.  Preceded in death by
  parents and granddaughter, Michelle Emerick.  Survived by these daughters:
  Mary Ann Higgins of Alpena, Mich.; and Rosalie Emerick of Jennerstown;
  these grandchildren: Shirley Marie Emerick, Donald and Scott Higgins,
  Lynann Emerick (daughter of John L. Emerick of Hollsopple), and Lewis
  Ewing; and a great-granddaughter, Brittany Emerick.  Former employee of
  Summit Diner for many years.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service
  will be held at 11 am. Monday.  Rev. CJ. Ickes officiating.  Interment,
  Lutheran Cemetery, Jennerstown.
