Heavenly Father is wiser than our wishes and He called her home Jan. 21, 2006, where we know she had a beautiful reunion with her dad, Frank J a c o b Emerick and other loved ones who have gone before. There are many of us that loved her and are left behind, including her mom, Doris Emerick-Williams (husband Don), Glencoe; brothers, Jerry Emerick (wife Cheri), Spanish Fork, Utah and Jason Emerick (wife Karen), Berlin; sisters, Debbie Anderson (husband Scott) Bennion, Utah; Donna Dively (husband Randy), Berlin; darla Glessner (boyfriend Gary Lewis), Glencoe and Kara Adami (husband Steve) Ogden. Diane loved her nieces and nephews very much and was never absent from their games, concerts, plays or anything they were involved in. They loved her as well and they are: Jared, Nathan, Travis and Corbin Emerick; Shelley, Taryn, Hayley, Noelle, Kerry and Devin Anderson; Adri, Weedle, Sheena, Levi, Logan and Dylan Dively; Cody and dakota Glessner; Jacob, John and James Emerick. Diane was also the proud great-aunt of 14 great-nieces and great-nephews. Diane also leaves behind her life long friend, Bev Ludy, who helped her tremendously through this past year. She leaves a large extended family as well, including her grandfather, Leslie Lambert and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Every one of us will miss her. Diane was an active, faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also served on the AYSO Soccer Board of Berlin. Until her illness she was employed by New Enterprise Stone & Lime, where she truly enjoyed the camaraderie of co-workers and her friendship with the good hearted truck drivers there. Diane had many qualities including integrity and grace. She was a humble person and didn't have much concern over material things. She truly had love and kindness in her heart for her family and loved spending time with us, as we did with her. Diane's strength and courage amazed and inspired us all. It's no surprise that she spent her last days being more concerned about us than she was herself. Goodbye Diane. We love you, we're thankful for you, and we'll miss you. God be with you 'till we meet again. Family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Additional viewing Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12205 Gramlich Road SW, LaVale, Md. President Steve Snyder officiating. Interment at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
