Emerick, 57, Boswell Heights, Boswell, died April 24, 2005, at his home. Born June 10, 1947, in Windber, son of the late Harry and Mary (Mastillo) Emerick. Survived by these children: Jeffrey, married to the former Kelly Hoover, Reading; Melissa, Elton; Michael, Rockwood; and Chris, Jenners; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Hollsopple; Nick and wife, Vicki, Gallitzin; John and wife, Tammy, Hollsopple; and Dave and wife, Bev, Kentucky; uncle and aunt, Earl and Lois Emerick, Boswell; and former wife, Nancy (Rogers) Emerick, Fishertown. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, having earned a National Defense Service medal and a Vietnam Service medal with one Bronze Star. A member of the Boswell Post 461 American Legion, Jenner Rod and Gun Club and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and reading. Friends received from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. The Rev. Father Sergei Alekseev officiating. Following cremation, interment at the Somerset County Memorial Park will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to the Helping Hands Food Pantry, 301 Center St., Boswell, PA 15531
