    John H. "Big Bad John" Emerick, 70, Fairhope, passed away June 5, 2006 at
  Morgantown University Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. John was born August
  21, 1935 in Fairhope, a son of the late Verdie R. "Bert" and Leora C. Emerick.
  He was also preceded in death by a brother, George "Hop" Emerick husband of
  Helen Emerick of Meyersdale, and a sister, Sharon Haggerty. Emerick is survived
  by brothers, Merle Emerick and wife Joy of Essex, Md., James Emerick and wife
  Grace of Fairhope, Robert Emerick, Fairhope, Wayne Emerick and wife Shirley of
  Hyndman, Paul Emerick and wife Sharon of Edenville, Ernest Emerick of Fairhope;
  sisters, Pauline Moore and husband John of Hyndman, Betty Lou Clites of Hyndman,
  June Kimmel of Fla., Wilma Hatridge of McKeesport; and many nieces and nephews.
  John was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed the outdoors and was loved by all.
  Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence
  Street, Hyndman from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday A funeral service will be
  conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Terry Campbell,
  officiating. There will be no graveside service. Burial will be at Comps
  Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to your favorite
  charity.
