  LEROY EMERICK

    Leroy "Bill" Emerick, 59, Johnstown RD 2, Richland Township, died Oct. 5,
  1989. in Jackson Township.
  He was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Bedford County, son of Homer and Emma (Diehl)
  Emerick.  He was preceded in death by parents, and sister, Doris Suder.
    He is survived by wife, former Leora Miller; and sons: Roy L., married to
  former Pauline S. McCombie; and Chester W., married to former Cynthia L.
  Green, both of Johnstown RD 2; also grandchildren: Brenda, Jennie,
  JJonathan , Jacki, Joshua, Justin and Jeremy. He was a brother of: Betty
  Ickes, Osterburg; Donald, Reels Corner; Alice Miller, Schellsburg; Harry,
  Berlin; Homer Jr., Alum Bank; Grace Miller, Osterburg; Ruth Miller, New
  Paris; and Janet Coughenour, Fallston, Md.
    He was retired from open hearth department, Franklin Division, Johnstown
  Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp.; member of Daisytown Sportsmen's Club.
  Friends were received at The Harris Funeral Home, Scalp Avenue, Richland.
  Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Arbutus Church of the Brethren, 
  the Rev. Larry Black officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
