    Mabel E. (Shumaker) Emerick, 88, of Somerset and Jenners died Aug. 16,
  1994, at Somerset Hospital.  Born April 27, 1906, in Fairhope.  Daughter of
  Edward Charles and Almeda (Smith) Shumaker.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband, Joseph, in 1943; sisters, Pearl and Elizabeth, and brother,
  Curtis.  Survived by these children: Kay, wife of Fred Speigle, Jenners;
  Ruth, wife of Hilton Lohr, Stoystown RD I; Robert, married to Barbara
  Koontz, Jenners, and Jcan Manning, Somerset.  Also 10 grandchildren,
  including Cathy Spangler-Foust with whom she resided when in Somerset.  Also
  eight great-grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.  Sister of
  William, Margaret Walker, Loretta Whetsell and James Campbell Jr., all of
  Clarksville; Leota Hager, Olmsted Falls, Ohio, and Betty Sakal, Pittsburgh.
  Charter member of Jenner Grace Brethren Church.  Also member of Women's
  Missionary Class.
  Friends received from 4 until 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main
  Street, Boswell.  Viewing also at Jcnner Grace Brethren Church from 1 p.m.
  until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Richard H. Cornwell
  officiating.  Interment, Jenner Cross Roads Cemetery.  Memorials to Mabel's
  church would be appreciated
