She was born in Barrelville on April 29, 1924, and was a daughter of the late Gilbert Emerick and Lillian (Loar) Emerick. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mount Savage, Maryland, and the Ladies' Skillpool League of Corriganville, Maryland. She is survived by two sons, Ronald T. Emerick, Piney Mountain, and William J. Emerick, Barrelville; two daughters, Rose Marie Emerick and Bonnie J. Emerick, both of Barrelville; one brother, Joseph Emerick, Barrelville; six sisters, Mrs. Marie Yeager, Cumberland; Mrs. Nora Harris, Aberdeen, Md.; Mrs. Mildred L. Jacobs, a twin sister, Midland, Maryland; Mrs. Kathleen Bingman; Owings Mills, Maryland; Mrs. Genevieve Panchot, Illinois, Mrs. Vivian Owl, Key West, Florida; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church by the Rev. Richard Pratt. Interment was in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leo Emerick, Eddie Bridges, Vaughn Trexler, Dave Gillespie, John Shriver, and Bobbie Fuller. The Republic, Oct 13, 1983 [E216]
