Emerick, 65, of Hyndman RD 1, died Nov. 3, 1973, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland where he had been a patient for three weeks. Born May 17, 1908, on Hyndman RD 1, he was a son of the late Lorenzo and Anna (Kennell) Emerick. He was a retired employe of the B and 0 Railroad Bolt and Forge Shop, Cumberland, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway, Airline and Steamship Clerks, AFL-CIO-CLC. Surviving are his wife. the former Goldie Alice Shroyer; three sons, John M. Emerick, Donald E. Emerick and Gerald C. Emerick, all of Hyndman RD 1; eight grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Emerick, Berlin; and four sisters, Mrs. Blanche Harper, Monroeville; Mrs. Eleanor Baker, Wellersburg; Miss Helen Emerick, Hyndman RD 1; and Mrs. Pearl Shroyer, Fairhope. Service was conducted Tuesday afternoon in Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, with Rev. Leroy Logsdon officiating. Interment in Comp Cemetery . Meyerdale Republican, Nov. 15, 1973 [E222]
