Emerick, 94, of Hyndman RD 1, died Wed- nesday, Sept. 16, 1987, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Wellersburg, Aug. 13, 1893, she was a daug1ter of the late William and Effie (Lepley) Kennell. She was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of Hydman Grange 1954 and the Hyndman Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband, Orrie Emerick, a son, Melvin R. Emeriti Hyndman RD 1; three daughters, Mrs. Hilda "Tillie" Shaffer and Mrs. Helen I. Clites, both of Hyndman RD 1; and Mrs. Ruby M. Jordan, Hyndman; two brothers, Albert Kennell, Wellersburg; and James Kennell, Hyndman RD 1; a sister, Mrs. Jenny Weimer, Wellersburg; 13 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, where services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Ken L. Korns. Interment, Hyndman Cemetery. Pallbearers were Terry Jordan, James Jordan, Jr., John R. Clites, Rick Emerick, Paul Sisk and John Clites. The Republic, Sept 24, 1987 [E227]
