Emerick, 69, of Fairhope, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1987, in Cumberland, Md. He was born April 1, 1918, in Hyndman, son of Mrs. Ada (Deneen) Emerick of Hyndman and the late Thomas Emerick. Survived by wife, Dorothy M. (Smith) Emerick; a son, Bill E., Manns Choice; three grandchildren; a brother, Ivan Deneen, Cairnbrook; a sister, Mrs. Irene Bonner, Hyndman. Retired trackman for B&O Railroad. Served with U.S. Army, World War II, in Africa and Europe. Member of Hyndman Oscar Jordan Post VFW No. 7375; F.O.E.; Aerie No. 1801, Somerset; Old Timers' Baseball Association of Somerset; New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club. Family receiving friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Daniel Leister officiating.
